In 2007, Moravian musicians in South Africa, Europe and America organized the first Festival specifically for brass instrumentalists. The first event was in 2007 in South Africa and coincided with the 550th anniversary (1457-2007) of the Worldwide Unity. The 2nd Moravian Unity Brass Festival was held in Bad Boll, Germany, in May 2013. And…  Next year!

Bläsertag 2019 will be Pentecost (Pfingsten) weekend in Neuwied, Deutschland (Germany). This is the biannual brass day (3 days) of the Moravian Church European Continental Province. All are welcome, and there are many European Moravians who speak English, so don’t let that deter you! It is a blast! … so to speak.

Neuwied Church has some fabulous photos posted from many of the Brass Festivals in Europe over the past century at http://www.ebg-neuwied.de/
