Festival Health & Safety
Protocols & Policy
The goal of the Moravian Music Festival CoVid-19 policy is to protect everyone involved from this dangerous disease, recognizing that singing is one of the riskiest activities in terms of spread of the virus. The Festival Committee strongly feels its responsibility is to make every effort to keep participants safe. The most vulnerable are the young and the older people with other health concerns, and those who for medical reasons cannot take the vaccine. We recognize that the vaccine does not prevent all cases, but it does provide significant protection against the most severe manifestations of the virus.
All visitors and participants must follow the Moravian Music Festival’s health and safety protocols to minimize the chances of transmission.
In light of ever-changing trends in the spread of Covid, we have determined that certain health precautions are important during the Festival, since our participants and audience represent a wide range of ages and will be coming from regions of the country/countries with different community Covid levels.
The Festival Committee respects the choices of each individual regarding vaccination. This policy is intended for the protection of all, especially those most vulnerable.
An inherent risk of exposure to CoVid-19 exists in any public place where people are present. CoVid-19 and its variants are highly contagious diseases that may result in personal injury, severe illness, and death. By attending concerts, events, workshops or other activities, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to CoVid-19.
Infection rates continue to fall and rise in areas of the United States. Different variants are arising in different locations, and science shows that the virus is mutating among the unvaccinated.
To bring unvaccinated people together puts them at a higher risk of contracting the virus, as well as increasing the possibility of the vaccinated being exposed to a different variant. These new variants seem to be less transmissible among the vaccinated.

It is strongly recommended that you bring some CoVid testing kits with you should you become symptomatic. This will simplify the process. Testing will not be done at the Festival. You will need to go to a local site or healthcare facility for testing.
Should you test positive, there is a local hotel that will accommodate your isolation, if rooms are available.
