I pray that, as we plan for the 2022 Moravian Music Festival, some young person (or some not-so-young person) may, through music, have the experience of the overwhelming, all-encompassing, endlessly demanding yet gentle love of God, the God who is the creator of all good gifts … and to whom all we have is unutterably precious.
However, not all young musicians have the resources to attend Moravian Music Festivals. Factor in tuition, room & board, music fees, the opportunity to buy a T-shirt and recordings of the concerts … all this can approach $1,000; and, a participant may incur significant transportation expenses beyond that! These young people become our treasured friends and, we believe, will continue coming to Festivals for many, many years to come.
If you’d like to sponsor a scholarship, please contact our office, and we’ll be happy to work things out for you.
OR … if you’d like to set up a scholarship in perpetuity, we would be very happy to talk with you. This could be done gradually over a period of a few years, but the end result would be the same.
We have offered several scholarships to past festivals, and most of them have been designated for a young adult (ages 18-25) who has not previously attended a Festival. By doing this, we hope to generate the kind of future interest and engagement that keeps the Festivals going for future generations.
We also accept donations to our youth and children’s programs, which we offer free to all participants.
RECIPIENTS NAMED:
Because of the generosity of several donors, the Moravian Music Foundation has been able to present full or partial scholarships to several people attending this Moravian Music Festival! We are very, very grateful for the gifts that have made their attendance possible.
